rusty_halo on dreamwidth
I’m not cross-posting there yet and not sure when/if I’m going to. I definitely like DW better than LJ, but I like having my own blog even more. I might write a WordPress plugin so I can cross-post from here to there too. I might also end up changing my entire online presence–perhaps use Dreamwidth as a main fandom journal and use my own blog as a non-fandom thing. Still figuring it out.
Anyway, I’m there now if you want to add me. I’ll try to add everyone there that I’ve added on LJ, IJ, or JF.

I kind of was disappointed about that — now that Dreamwidth is here, there’s less of an incentive for folks to go the self-hosted route, LOL.
I have no idea what I’m going to do with my Dreamwidth account either. Maybe I will start crossposting for once, hehe.

I agree but sadly, it was never going to happen en masse anyway. People are too lazy. :P

I think I saw that they want to make Dreamwidth crosspostable to WordPress, too, it’s just that for Open Beta they were focused on what they could actually get done, and the journal sites based on LJ code were easier to get done in time.

I wouldn’t want to post from Dreamwidth to here, though; this is my own server so I’ve got nearly infinite space (meaning infinite icons and photo storage) and access to the source code (meaning the ability to customize the design and interface in any way I like).
I currently crosspost from here to LJ, IJ, and JF; it would just be a matter of adding DW to that list.

Obligatory pimpage of JournalPress. Not sure if you’ve seen it or not, but it does native multi-journal crossposting, including to Dreamwidth.
And yes, full disclaimer, I wrote it. ^^”
