Two Days in Chicago

two-days-in-chicago

I’m going to be in Chicago on Friday and Saturday for my brother’s wedding. I’m busy with wedding stuff in the evenings, but I’ve got the mornings and afternoons to do stuff. Any recommendations?

I’m staying downtown, here. I might end up defaulting to the one day Frommer’s thing but personal recommendations are always appreciated.

(If nothing else, I think I’ll have to go to the art museum featured in Ferris Bueller…)

I’m late, but I didn’t see this until the weekend. I was going to suggest the Architect Foundaytion L tour. It’s free and interesting–their boat tour is also worth while if you have the time on a sunny day. I would have also suggested a meal at the Chicago Diner. I’ve only been there a couple of times, but have liked what I tried.

Hope you have a good time in the city.

PS Finally watched the UK version of Life on Mars and loved it.

I wish I’d had time to do something architecture-related; several of my family members did the boat tour which sounded like a lot of fun.

I did make it to the Chicago Diner–several people recommended it and it was, indeed, excellent.

Glad you watched the UK Life on Mars. It’s always going to stand in my memory as one of the greatest TV shows of all time. :)
