Football.

Why does it have to be football?

*claws out eyes*

Also, it’s Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays, and New York City is scary.

I don’t understand how I came from these people.

    This reminds me.

WR: So, mom, I’m totally moving to New York City! A++ Me.
    Mom: BUT IT’S DANGEROUS.
WR: *decides not to remark on KKK fliers in our newspaper because is not in the mood for a fight*

    Eek.

Yeah, I think statistically speaking, there is more crime in NYC than in smaller places simply because there are more people here, but as an individual the likelihood of you actually experiencing a crime is tiny, again because there are so many people.

I just… I can understand not liking huge crowds and competition and all that, but to completely disregard all the culture and diversity seems very very sad. :(

I’ve weighed the pros and cons - some of which are personal. I’m not HOT on the crowds, but I really am interested in the culture.

Have you visited? It’s the greatest city ever, but then I’m biased.

Crowds, of course, depend on what neighborhood you live in, where you are, the time of day, etc. I don’t like being around people, but I’m okay with the crowds here. I feel more anonymous in a crowd in NYC than alone in a small town, because small town people stare, but in NYC, no matter how outrageous you look, no one cares.

No I’ve never visited, but I’d like to have access to the culture there and the public transportation (which is better than were I live, hint: there is none) and a place where it’s easier to be different.

The thing with crowds is that none are ever going to be good for me, ten or ten million at certain points because of complicated mental illness problems. But I’m not going to let that stop me from at least trying.

Oklahoma is no the right place for me. I’ll defend it against some charges, and think it’s the right place for some people. And I just kinda need a break from both Michigan and Oklahoma, both of which I consider my home states, and New York City seems different enough.

    tl;dr.

Though I’d like to meet you there in a few years when I finally get there if you’re still around.
