Why I Want a TARDIS
Oh my god, you guys, I am in love:
I want a TARDIS so badly. Right now I want nothing more than to go see David Bowie live in the early 1970s.
I think this must be the true reason I adore the Doctor and Rose. They did exactly what I would’ve done if I could travel through time and space: get dressed up and go to awesome concerts throughout history.
Current Mood:
envious

Yes! I saw that last night, delving into old Bowie clips on YouTube. He is stunning in that one.
I was also watching old interviews from when he first came out doing the Ziggy Stardust thing, and the stodgy shocked old interviewers are HILARIOUS. It reminds me of when Marilyn Manson first got big. He’s all explaining his philosophy of the meaning of life, and they’re all BUT DO YOU GO TO CHURCH???

Man, how come my life goals are never realistic? “I want to travel through time and space going to all the good rock concerts throughout history” doesn’t look very good on a resume. *sigh*

Oh honey, when I was in high school, my friend had the only car with a tape drive and we used to drive around for HOURS listening to Bowie – Ziggy Stardust in particular. And I graduated in 1985.
Welcome to the party.
