You’re a goddess. That was $130 cheaper than anything else I found. Just snagged my ticket. Arriving Thursday morning (I’m a big believer in first flight of the day out if you don’t want plans scuppered) and leaving Monday afternoon (on the odd chance I party too hardy Sunday night).

Glad to be of service! ;)

I’d have preferred to go earlier on Thursday, but this way I won’t have to waste a vacation day traveling. (*crosses fingers the flight will go okay*) And I figured it would be easier to take an early flight Monday since our hotel is right at the airport.

Is that the con in Feb. near LAX? I think I am going to be there!

I will be there too, and I’d love to see you (and maybe I can steer you to one of our better vegan restaurants).

Yay! LA is ghastly, but this convention might be interesting. ;)

Awesome! I can’t wait to see you.

I was in LA something like three years ago, and the many yummy vegan restaurants were definitely the best feature. I’m not sure if I’ll make it to any since the con is at the airport, but I’ll definitely try. Which do you think is not-to-be-missed?

I suppose Real Food Daily, Native Foods and the Newsroom are the big westside vegan restaurants. They’re sort of accessible from the airport, but then again Angelenos think anything 20 minutes up or down the freeway is accessible.

I’ll bet there are a bunch of vegan Thai/Vietnamese restaurants in the general vicinity, but I’ll have to do some homework. I’m in the northeast part of the city now, and while I lived on the westside on and off for years, I’ve sort of blocked out everything there. I really wish the convention was still in Burbank - it’s contiguous to much more interesting neighborhoods (and restaurants).

I’ll find more places as we get closer to the date. It will be great to see you there too!

Hooray! Trust me, the hotel is very easy to get to from the hotel. If you were traveling uber light, you could literally walk from arrivals to the hotel.

We still need to buy our tickets, but the husband and I are definitely going to be there.

I’m glad to hear that the hotel is so easy to get to from the airport. That does make things much easier.

    I can’t wait to see you! :)
