Couple of Political Links
Palin’s Wasilla To Rape Victims: Bring Your Checkbook. This article has been making the blog rounds, and actually gave me nightmares last night. People, please, vote against this woman. Feminism isn’t about putting one woman in power regardless of how anti-woman her policies are; it’s about making the world a better place for all women.

That house one is just insane (as is the other). Just because someone is turfed out of their home, doesn’t mean they aren’t still living somewhere in the area.
Your country is scary.

I just commented to the Guardian about this. It needs to shouted from the rooftops. Here, I mean.
Damn that witch.

Thanks.
The worst part is I can easily picture a significant percentage of people not understanding why it matters. My brother would shrug and say “Why not? Everyone else has to pay their own medical bills.”

Good lord, this woman TERRIFIES me. Actually, even more frightening than Sarah Palin herself is the fact that McCain picked her and so many voters seem to like her.

I don’t understand how not owning your own home can disqualify you from voting.
What about people who rent?
Don’t they get a vote?

The theory that the Republicans are working on is that if your house is foreclosed, well, obviously you’re living somewhere else and are no longer eligible to vote in that region. Which is ridiculous, of course; it’s far more likely that those foreclosed folks are still living locally. Still, that’s what they’re trying to use as a “reason.” *snort*
