Why 2008 is better than 2007
The Dark Knight - July 18. Batman was always my favorite superhero. Christopher Nolan + Christian Bale = awesome. Plus, the first movie was incredible, and they recast the one bad actor, and basically this is just bound to be spectacular.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - May 22. I’m already seeing ads for it all over NYC. I grew up acting out imaginary Indiana Jones games with my little brother. I was seven for The Last Crusade; I never thought I’d get to see another Indiana Jones movie in the theater. :)
Iron Man - OUT TODAY! OMG I can’t wait to see this movie. I love Robert Downey, Jr. so much and the fact that he’s starring in a superhero movie is making my brain explode with glee.
jaydk, we’re seeing it this weekend, right? Pleeeease?

Also X Files in July. But why Comic Con weekend? How can I go see it five times when I’m in lineups? Hmmm?

Wow, I didn’t realize it was coming out so soon!
I’m a bit wary of it–I stopped watching X-Files in season five because it got tedious. But if it’s good I will be delighted; I still adore the classic XF episodes. :)

Oh man, TDK and Indy were the previews showed at Blade Runner: Final Cut when I saw it. The whole thing was like… geekgasm on film.

Awesome. I actually haven’t seen many previews yet; I’m looking forward to going into the movies and being really surprised. :)

I’m looking forward to those three, as well as the X-Files, which I think should be good since everyone involved with it seems to have recovered from being totally burned-out by the characters, and since they seem to be steering clear of the unfixably complicated mythology.
I was on the fence about Iron Man, since I don’t really care for the character, but Downey’s take on him seems to really work.

Robert Downey Jr makes everything better. :)
I’m excited about the X-Files. I hope they capture some of the humor that always made it better than just a monster show.
